where the wildflowers are

On the Coast Walk where high cliffs drop towards an ocean that meets sky. A muma whale plays with her calf and the wildflowers of Spring open to catch the bright, bold light, A 3km walk…a long way for little legs. But the promise of a cookie at home ensures the hills, ants and heat are forgotten.

One of my fav walks. That and Piles Creek Loop, oh and the red gums when they're shedding their bark up north and I have been told Crackneck is spectacular to walk but I haven't done the paths that head south. Also not walked much down Patonga way. So much still to do.

nothing like a walk, or as Kelly would call it, "a bush walk." she loves them. I love them. I think I could walk for miles. Wish there was someone at the end with a cookie for me! xx

Oooh i love flannel flowers. I used to work in a florist and they are my favourite. Have never seen them growing the wild like this though. Which walk is this? Is this near Patonga?
