nature baby for summer days
I’ve been dressing my kids in Nature Baby since 2007.
Marigold has just outgrown a sweet pair of grey cotton pants that I was gifted when I was pregnant with Che. Fast forward ten years and they’re imbued with precious newborn memories of little legs and even littler feet.
These simple cotton pants are so dear to me that I’ll pack them away with hospital tags and announcement notices; ripe for reminiscing when they’re next uncovered.
While Nature Baby is my go-to for baby essentials, I’m also a fan of its children’s clothes with their practical design, natural fabrics and simple styling. In a era where we’re seemingly overwhelmed by choice when it comes to children’s clothes, I come back to Nature Baby for its supreme quality and longevity. Its organic cotton is second to none and lasts forever (or for a decade, at least).
The newly released summer collection is perfect for play – an abundance of sleeved styles to keep shoulders covered, wide-brimmed hats for sun protection and loose, comfortable pants and dresses, all the better to run and jump in. The prints are quirky and fun – clementines, rainbows and folksy guitars mix with classic stripes and florals.

The Dylan Shorts (seen in the first few photos) are incredibly lightweight and therefore ideal for our summer. They’re made from an almost-silky cotton chambray (also available in the Dreamer Pants and Daisy Dress) and are one of my favourite pieces in the collection. The navy + cream striped Juniper Dress is another favourite (casual twenties styling perfect for parties).
I find Nature Baby’s sizes a little on the big side. Percy is wearing a size 3 (he’s two-and-a-half) and while the clothes are currently a bit big, I know that they’ll fit for a whole year and then some. These two outfits will be worn over and over again, loved for their whimsy, comfort and practicality.

Marigold will spend the summer in cotton bodysuits and bloomers. I love the simple details of Nature Baby’s basics – envelope necks, press-stud bottoms for easy nappy changes and soft cotton that’s gentle and breathable.
