cars trucks and automobiles : a lucas loves cars giveaway
this is a sponsored post
Personally, I love a one-stop shop, especially one that values quality without sacrificing fun. Lucas Loves Cars is a long-time sponsor of Practising Simplicity and owner, Helle, has collated a beautiful range of products for little ones. She created the store when she recognised a distinct gap in the market for timeless toys of the automobile variety. “As a mum of a car crazy little boy I was always on the look out for quality car toys and I felt like I could never find what I was after. On the other hand I had everyone telling me that Lucas was a typical little boy and that their nephew/grandson/friend was car obsessed, too. And so I decided that there was a place for a cars, trucks and wheels-obsessed store,” she says.
Passionate about sourcing Australian brands, Helle also prioritises quality and chooses toys with a simple and timeless aesthetic. “I love toys that provide kids with something to do; they have to be interesting and colourful enough to grab their attention but also allow the freedom for them to use their imagination.”
Her bestselling products are practical toys that can be used in the day-to-day:
+ the Autobahn tape (the perfect travelling companion)
+ traffic bath fun (because cars and tracks are restricted to dry ground)
+ working wheels bowl, cup and plate (extra incentive to “eat your greens”)
+ diggers and trucks snap ( a car card game)
+ individual biscuit cutters (because the tastiest cookies are the zooming ones)
And the toys I love the most (and are still in perfect condition years after buying them):
+ baby toy car
+ click clack range
+ wooden rubbish truck
+ and books – so many wonderful titles to choose from
Helle is a school mum who works from home in Melbourne’s inner north. A typical work day involves coffee (only one and it must be good!), updating the website, photographing stock and wrapping parcels to take to the post office. While she’s happy to stock a range of reputable brands, she is looking forward to creating the products she can’t find. “It’s an ongoing issue for me as I can’t stock the products I want to, simply because they don’t exist.”
Comments closed. Congratulations, Bel. We hope your little automobile lover adores his gifts.Β
Such a lovely shop! I am expecting my first mid-September – a boy – and as all first time mums, am already getting carried away buying clothes and toys he won't be using for years! I have a feeling the baby toy car would be a favourite π
Love this store!
I have a 3 yr old boy who is obsessed with traffic signs.
He literally wants any sign that he sees clarifies. Immediately.
I would love some of the wooden street signs for obvious reasons π
Oooh, we adore the Green Toys range in our house of boys! The Dump Truck would be our pick π
My son's fifteen minutes and obsessed with anything wooden and anything related to vehicles. I think the click clack line would keep him busy for days. I think he'd especially love the bulldozer and cement mixer. π
My boy would go nuts over everything in the store, he's obsessed with everything with wheels! But his first favourite is cranes (I blame his grandmother for showing him the "Truck Crane" video on YouTube – seriously, if you have truck obsessed kid and you let them have screen time, search YouTube for "Twentytrucks" and then try and tear your kids away) so I think he would just love the wooden role play construction kit.
My toddler has the Autobahn tape (he often gets any old sticky out to be put on the floor/table!) and the dump truck which is often filled with blocks and tools. He loves a steering wheel so if he had his choice he'd likely choose that.
My 17 month old son would love the signs. He loves racing around the couch after saying 'Go' pretending he's a car! I think they would provide a nice opportunity for his older sister and brother to play with him too, reading the signs and showing him how they work. Thanks!
My four year old just celebrated a fire engine themed birthday party so we would love anything fire-engine themed–probably the ball most of all, while I would pick the backpack to kick off the new school year.
My little Sammy is enjoying puzzles at the moment and he loooooves trucks and tractors so I reckon the construction peg puzzle would be awesome!
My almost 2 year old would love the compartment plate with the machinery pics on itπ
The baby toy car is so sweet and I can see little girls as well as little boys enjoying this simple but beautifully-crafted toy! I hope my new baby girl enjoys playing with little vehicles, at least to some extent, as my sister and I did when we were little. It's nice to have a mix of different kinds of toys, cars and trucks in amidst the dolls and stuffed animals.
I love the bath car toys. My two year old son is always sad he can't take his cars into the bath. Those would be a big hit at our place π
Oliver(5) loves all things car related and frankly it has taken me 40 minutes to sign in to my google account (that I didn't know I had) and respond – so frustration has cleared my head of all witty words!
Thrilled to see it worked though
The kids in my life would love the Wooden Parking Garage with 4 (!) levels. What beautiful toys on this site.
My mad-keen car/truck/bus/train lover 2.5 year old would enjoy endless hours of fun with the busy builders set. The dump truck and bulldozer would keep him occupied long enough for mum to get some chores done which would be a win win! The lovely wooden set would cope with the roughest boy play and be so much nicer than just another plastic toy.
Very nice and some great ideas about car-related products for kids. My little boy adores cars and trucks.
