“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
Che: A boy, his shadow, and the milky way
Poet: She’s my (determined and bossy) kitchen companion

A child’s shadow is fascinating; an exaggerated mimic yet still so delicate.
This week I adored the joy, maturity and cheek of Maxabella’s portraits / the soft, inquisitive touch between brand new siblings / the senses captured / her last week as a one-year-old / Archie and a distinctly Australian backdrop.

As much as I always love your photographs of Che the pictures you capture of Poet are utterly stunning. She reminds me of myself as a little girl…I have curly hair too and people always chimed the poem ‘There once was a girl with a great big curl right in the middle of her forehead. And when she was good she was very very good and when she was bad she was horrid’ at me when I was little.

We love chalk drawing. We used to go to the local chalk festival before it stopped and the kidlets could draw all over the boardwalk. It is a shame they no longer do it.

His universe is amazing, her cheekiness a match. I know that "I do it" face so well… it's Lottie altogether at that age.

It's SO NICE that you like my pictures. You know how much it means to me to be the "taker" of the pictures, not just the admirer. I may explode with pride, I really might. x
