45/52
“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
Che: a big handful of popcorn for afternoon tea.
Poet: She pulls this face whenever she’s in trouble; it makes disciplining her very hard.
Our next door neighbours recently moved out and didn’t want to take their trampoline with them. It now resides in our backyard and every afternoon we head down there with crayons, an art book and some snacks. Lucky for me the light is particularly special at the time.

how nice of your neighbors to leave the trampoline for you all. sounds like a great way to spend the afternoon. lovely shots.
Ooh, lucky you guys! A trampoline would be a big hit here.
Beautiful shots, as always x
Love the photographs – so much depth and emotion. Fantastic blog!
My brothers and I loved hanging out on the trampoline when we were kids. So many of my memories involve our backyard trampoline. These are beautiful shots of your little ones. Poet's face is adorable. Have a lovely weekend. Melinda x
Beautiful, and that light seems so summer-y. My two are b&w as well, this week.
I think these two photos could almost be my favourite of your series yet Jodi and that's a big call as I love your portraits every week!
Oh, thank you x
Trampoline afternoons sound fab. Loving Poet's face of inner calm too! x
hahahahaha oh Po!! Such a hilarious shot Jodes! x
Oh the old 'close my eyes and they can't see me / I can't get in trouble' strategy. I know it well…
beautiful b+w photos once again x
How could you not at least smirk at that face. So cute. x
Gorgeous photos. Poet's expression could not be any cuter and I have to say she looks soooo much like you! x
Oh poet! You are just too cute!
Such a cute little face Poet. x
What a perfect way to spend an afternoon. I hope mumma takes a cup of tea with her too. Hope your week is a lovely one xx
Beautiful photos.
Strangely Poet's face looks a lot like my little guy face when he is intentionally trying to smile for a photo…eyes closed with a little grin.
Beautiful B &Ws! Love that one of Poet! What a character 😉
Really, really beautiful. Kellie xx
PS Trampoline! Fun!
PS. Trampoline – free!!!!
both of these photos are so precious! what gorgeous lighting.. and i love that both of them have eyes closed in two very different expressions.
Oh I love these portraits. And what a fabulous outlook you have with all those trees! x
It's a beautiful outlook, especially at the moment as the Jacaranda is in bloom. But when it's windy? – slightly unnerving x
Late afternoons on a trampoline sound divine. We were offered one, but don't have the room! Such a shame! x
I love how they both have their eyes close and enjoying the trampoline! Lucky! 🙂
Love these shots. Just perfect. And Poet is such a character!
Beautiful! Lucky you to get a trampoline! 🙂
Your kids are lovely and the way you capture their expressions is amazing.
Congrats, have a nice sunday!
that shot of Poet is magical! x
loving your 45/52. and smiling at how Poet's eyes are 'almost closed'…children just find it impossible to close their eyes don't they?! unless properly napping 🙂 and p.s. free trampoline? how cool! x
Just wanting to say hi to all the gorgeous babies and their mommies!

Your childrens' portraits inspire me beyond words. So beautiful.
Such gorgious little children… We are late this week but just uploaded my little kiddies! x
Ah those good old 'protection free' trampolines that we had when we were kids! Aren't our children so bubbled these days? Bring back the skin-pinching times I say! And Poet, oh my, how would you ever possibly get mad at that one? x
Oh I love these in black and white. Beautiful.
Gorgeous photos Jodi! I am finally getting in the habit of playing along every week x
Poet's face is just darling!! Gorgeous portraits and a lovely sounding afternoon ritual x
Just stunning. You have such beautiful children Jodi, and you capture their personalities so well!
Oh my…Poet's face is perfect. Good luck with the disciplining! 🙂
