48/52
“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
Che: the biggest daydreamer I know. Here he is on the way to the school’s Christmas concert (ISO 800, f1.6, 1/800th)
Poet: she has all-of-a-sudden embraced all things fairy and pretty. I’m kinda liking it (ISO 800, f1.6, 1/5000th)
Friends, after these portraits there’s only four to go. Can you believe it?
………………………………………………………………………………
There was an abundance of inspiring portraits this week; testament to the way you have all developed an eye for seeing and capturing an emotive, beautiful image. I chose the following because, quite simply, they are joyous.
This image is rather unforgettable – that window, her face, little pink shoes! / Katie captured Sophie and Henry in natural, candid moments; these photos are imbued with a sense of nostalgia / one of my favourite portraits of the year – Elsa dancing in the kitchen / colour, light and bubbles; summer is just around the corner for Poppy and Tully / and little Owynn; snuggled under a handmade quilt, his little legs in supta buddha konasana (I mentioned this yoga asana here – it’s a brilliant pose for rest).

No, I cannot believe it. Four weeks…
Such beautiful portraits. I love the halo effect in both these pictures.
i cannot believe we are in week 48 already. this year has really gone by too fast. gorgeous shots. i love the colors in Poet's.
gorgeous – you can really see their similarities here!
Wow, I have loved each and every one of your photos this year Jodi but your capture of Che this week is incredible. That look in his eyes, it looks like he has so many stories to tell… Hope your week is wonderful x
Oh Poet! So gorgeous! What a darling.
Wow! Your images are all about the eyes this week! Love them.
Oh those sweet, angelic faces. To be a mother… four short weeks left of this year and already I can feel the joy of the festive season upon us.
Love Bella xx
Umm helooo Jodi, LOOK AT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY! shit just got real.
x
Poet and those lips….<3
Divine babies! Can't quite believe it's nearly christmas..I'm not ready to part with 2013. xx
I feel ya, Steph! I feel like 2013 holds so much for me! How could I ever part with my favourite year so far!
I was thinking exactly the same thing 😉 Christmas is not far away! x
It really feels like I only just started this project and here it is ready to come to a close.
I have loved taking part…thank you…and am looking forward to continuing next year.

Your Poet is just divine. So beautifully classic. Her little plum lips and curly hair accentuated with a band of jewels! Have a lovely week Jodi. Melinda x
Gorgeous.
How alike are your two? So similar. Those little mouths!
xx
You know what, I actually don't see their likeness quite as much as others do. I think perhaps it's because their personalities are so different. But yes, they both got the lips and for that I'm very grateful 😉 x
Hope the 52 project will be repeated in 2014?!
Yes, it will! There'll be a few changes on my behalf but nothing that will affect you or anyone else involved x
Yay. Sunday is my favourite blog reading day because of the weekly portraits x
Your two little ones are so alike in these portraits, gorgeous.
One day someone will look into those dreamy eyes of Che's and fall hard! Such lovely portraits!
Do not even want to think about that! x
Beautiufl!
Oh those faces. Bless. xx
So the picture of Poet is just wonderful!
the headband is quite bat for lashes. splendid. i really must get round to taking my camera off the automatic setting. bit worried as i can barely get the kiddos to sit/stay still for long enough to press a single button let alone extended focus/exposure adjustments. perhaps 2014 will be the year? (in more ways than one, really need to read the camera's manual to find out how to go manual). x
dear Jodi…thank you thank you! do you know i sat and read your sweet praise of my 47/52 photo and i'm not embarassed to say i blushed. you are so kind.
Elsa never fails to inspire me but i have actually been feeling in a bit of a fug about my photos lately…my camera especially. and then you've gone and lifted my spirits again and got me inspired this week. i think i really could have captured 48/52 as a single shot. it was the first one i took and then of course the temptation was there just to hold down the button in burst mode on my wee point and press. i'd love the challenge of moving on to a dslr. perhaps in 2014 i will.
back to your portraits this week…so dreamy! i really love the colours in Poet's frame and yay for The Pretty! both your children have me hypnotised this week. beautiful beautiful babies!
so here's to the last 4 of the project! xXx
this has been such a awesome project – I cannot believe I have seen it through 🙂
Every time your photos Jodi! You're talented beyond words!
Gorgeous photos as always Jodi! Thank you so much for the love Xx
I've never seen them look so alike. I think as mothers, we often struggle to see them how others do because we know them so well. People tell me my two are very similar, but I don't see it at all. Their personalities are world's apart. Stunning portraits as usual.
So beautiful! Poet is the most gorgeous fairy!
Love these! And that headband, gorgeous!
Four weeks?!! Crazy.
Such stunning, angelic pictures. They look so alike here!
x
These, I think, are your best and most beautiful shots of the whole project. Breathtaking. And wonderful to display together. They are looking more and more alike.
your photos are always stunning! we crushed on your project over on our blog today. thanks for the inspiration!
