Poet: a few times a week she falls asleep in the car and I carefully carry her inside; her head tucked into my neck, her legs tapping my thighs.

i can remember my mother carrying us inside the house when we fell asleep in the car. it was always considered very very special…. so much so that my brother and i would take turns faking naps (she couldn't carry us both at the same time).
