simple play
By some kind of miracle I managed to fall asleep before midnight last night and yet I was wide awake again come 2:30am. Strange sleep patterns are perfectly fine during the holidays but now that school has returned and we have a bell to conform to, it’s not exactly ideal.
After a rough and demanding start to the morning, Poet revelled in the fact that she had me all to herself. And whilst I did have work to do, she managed to occupy herself for a few hours, happy with a constant supply of fresh fruit and sandwiches to keep her going.
I can never predict when contented play will align with a demanding work schedule but today it did….and I’m grateful. To make it even sweeter, the sun shone after three days of torrential rain (our water tank is brimming!) and I got four loads of washing on the line.
Little things but by no means inconsequential.
Beautiful photos x
Such a beautiful post and gorgeous photos.
How lovely that everything fell into place for you both.
Have a beautiful week.
Much love xx
I love those days!
Yesterday we had a hideous day…for some reason we were all up at 3:30! By about 8:00 I had had enough! Needless to say the day was long and fairly painful.
But today was a perfect day…funny how those lovely days seem to come right exactly when you need them.
Beautiful blog, i love your photos!
how adorable! love the last image 🙂
Lovely post and photos. It's so nice when life aligns perfectly, almost like a fairy tale! These are also the moments I lean on when things get harder… By no means inconsequential indeed!
Sounds like a lovely day!
Love that photograph of her in the tree! xK
I love when that happens- it's rare and beautiful. Hope you get some great rest tonight!

I used to rent a place where I had tank water – there's nothing like knowing the rain has come and it's at a decent level again! And tank water always tastes better than town water.
I love the first image! I wonder what she's looking at?!
The ocean. We're lucky enough to live very, very close to the beach. The surf has been big this week! x
Your photography inspires me and makes me want to throw away my cameras, in equal measure
