“A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014.”

Poet: ‘reading’ Milly Molly Mandy and completely fascinated by the fact that she has a cat and a dog. Love her dirty fingernails and grazed knees.

Friends, I’m going to keep this post short and sweet. Basically, sleep is more important than a comprehensive blog post. There you have it: practising simplicity – recognising the necessities.

Scraped knees and dirty fingernails are the beautiful evidence of children's hard work…their play. Love it! Hope your Sunday is slow and gentle xxx

Oh, hope you're ok (& that you get some sleep). Do I need to get Olive onto Milly Molly Mandy? I don't remember it. (We're currently reading the adventures of the wishing chair.) Kellie xx

Prioritise sleep. Always. (Well, almost always.) Especially when you're going at it alone. I hope you had a restful night and are ready for a lovely Sunday.

I loved Milly Molly Mandy as a child! I was so sad when I recently discovered that somehow, my grandma's collection had mysteriously disappeared. She is sick and in a nursing home and there was only a couple of things of hers that I had really wanted – one being her collection of children's books which included Milly Molly Mandy. I guess I will just keep scouring the op shops…

🙂 love the capture this week–I'm a long-time follower of your blog (from way back when it was Che and Fidel of course), and I've been so inspired to start my own 52 Project. To have an entire year of photos to look back on will be just priceless (especially as our newest little one will be joining us around week 28 or so!), so I thank you for inspiring me! Here's hoping I can pull it off!! Poet is just beautiful as always. Hope you got some rest!
