“A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014.”
Poet: “Guess what guys! Dis year, I’m having two birfdays! One birfday for when I was three and ‘nother birfday soon!”
She didn’t think it was very fair when we explained that actually, you only have one birthday a year. I think she just wants more cake.

I love everything about this photo, beautiful and classic! My little girl is the same about birthdays, thank goodness they only come around once a year! x Dre
Looks like a good way to protest to me….Regards Kathy A, Brisbane
Anytime we mention it is someone's birthday, C's immediate reaction is to say, "Let's make them a cake!"
The ulterior motive is of course that he gets to eat some of the cake.
Aww my little one has just celebrated his birthday also. The big FOUR. Happy birthday October babes. x
… OR she could just have one birthday that goes for a whole week (like I do). Poo love!
What a perfect picture- I love it. Someone just recommended I try a 52 week portrait, I would love to know more about it and how it went and whether you felt it was beneficial to you. Anyway, beautiful beautiful post!

Fabulous picture, especially in black & white x
I'm with Poet on this one.
It's terribly unfair we one get one birthday a year. Tragic even.
Oh, well all just love to hang onto that feeling of being extra special! My boys have started requesting 'birthday cakes' and a 'party cake'… just to spread the celebration out a bit. It's a good thing I love cake 😉
My little lady hates waiting for her birthday to come around.
So sweet! I am personally a fan of birthday weeks! Far to much goodness in life to just celebrate for a day. 🙂
Much Love xx
Oh Poe, can I give you a big cuddle?! xx
