“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
Che: long hair and exhaustion signals the end ofΒ term (he’s waiting for his lift to the school disco)
Poet: her smile, giggles and affection have been so comforting this past week; she’s such a happy soul (her sweet top is from printebebe)Β

These portraits so aptly capture the children’s personalities – the serious one and the joyous/cheeky one.

Oh sweet Josephine and her sticks – I love the soft light and that stunning backdrop / Lucy and her pink bow and that first sunset / little boy mastering the kayak – water like glass / Stella, her chubby cheeked baby brother and a smattering of colour for good measure / and finally, like father like son – beautiful moment, perfect light.

Love how you seem to find a new perspective each week, to capture your gorgeous little ones. π
Such beautiful photos Jodi. We are all looking forward to the end of this term. It's time. x
Lovely. You sure can tell its end of term can't you, all the signs are here at my place too x
Your children are so beautiful!
Lovely picture. I love that cheeky smile π
I have so much practice to do with my photography, but always love to see your images Jodi! Particularly love Poets cheeky grin π
happy holidays x
Oh that cheeky chops! She's such a cutie. Such lovely colours. Hope your week is wonderful π xx
Oooh look at those little squinty eyes! So adorable! It is funny, I think I have picked up before that my two (older boy/younger girl combo too) have the similar personality traits to Che and Poet. Sometimes I wonder if my two, who are almost polar opposites, will always be this way? Probably π
Both of these are gorgeous!

That definitely came through π

Sweet little girl kayaking π Thank you for featuring my little lady on her first real experience boating. She loves the water, swimming, boating, or just splashing around on the shore. Love your blog, very inspirational!
This is the first week where I've felt a bit 'meh' about my images. Not bad, I guess!! Have a good one, Jodi. x
This is the first week I have missed. Moved house and a combination of no time and no internet (at the local library now). I hope to play catch up later in the week. But I wanted to stop by and say thank you for the mention. The capture of play with light I think is one of my greatest joys in taking photos. So glad you liked last weeks images of the boys and their bikes.
ps I have always likes Che's hair long on him
Sometimes I see glimpses of the teenagers in my boys when they're serious like that. Sigh…..but darn if they aren't cute!
Love these,
xo

So lovely Jodi. Love the difference in these two, they say opposites attract so I am sure they will be the best of friends well into their adult life.
CanΒ΄t stand so much beauty
