30/52

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2012.”
Che: He talks while I shoot. I sat him there, on my new Bentwood chair (side-of-the-road find), and he told me a story about monsters in the dark while I watched the sun move across the wall.
Poet: Since turning one she is more expressive, more animated and a whole lot more daring (she climbed onto the dining table today). One is fun.

There’s quite a few of you playing along with 52. Leave a link to your latest post in the comments section.52

I have no child to take pictures of, but I do adore follow every sunday your 52. Like a kind of ritual. Love to don't know them in person but feel they are familiar to me and see how beautiful, healthy and happy they are growing. This feeling is one of the feelings which inspire me to start my own blog .
Maybe someday I'd inspire someone too. Thank you for this Jodi

I'd love to play along! Might give me a bit more practise on the camera (I'll be checking out the comments in your photography post + your hot tips!), and help keep the blogging semi-regular. I just struggle taking shots of Sassy front on as she just wants to swipe the camera or 'kiss' the lens. Hence my many, many side on shots..x

I find it much easier to take photos of Che, hence I'm usually more content with his portrait (in regards to lighting, composition etc) than Poet's. Poet moves suddenly and quickly and isn't walking yet, hence I feel a little restricted with angles when I photograph her. But, excuses, excuses! Join in Claire…x

i've been adoring your 52 series for a while now, and particularly love that you will be making your portraits into a book at the end of the year. it really strikes a chord with me, sitting here at a computer full of memories that seem a bit lost not being on paper.

we have our own little darling now, 4 weeks old today, and even as tiny as she is, i know she is changing every day and it would be such a shame not to keep track. so thanks for inviting us to join in, it really is a fabulous idea and i'm happy to be playing along.

    now, where's my camera ?

Lovely pictures. Oh once they start climbing they don't stop!

I've been doing a monthly photo of my daughter, but might start a weekly photo of all my children!

I'm just catching up with your blog Jodi – loving your words and pictures – Had to comment on this picture of Poet, as at the same age, Bertie used to pull that exact face! I have a couple of pictures of him doing it! So funny! I hope you are all well xxx
