2/52
“A portrait of my youngest children, once a week, every week, in 2016.”
Poet: picking dandelions, counting dandelions, threading dandelions (ISO100, f1.8, 1/1250).
Percy: he got this little duck for Christmas and plays with it every day. Pegs it across the room if he can, too (ISO400, f2.8, 1/320).
So much enthusiasm for this project again this year – thank you! If you are posting to instagram remember to tag @practisingsimplicity and use #the52project. Can’t wait to see your 2/52!

Aww Percy does look so very sweet with the duck! I've got a third baby with an impressive overarm bowl too so maybe it's a third baby thing, or just a boy thing. You keep an eye out when Pip gets near the wooden animals anyway!
So beautiful. I love how peaceful Poet looks.
thanks for including the metadata! it's helpful for wannabe photographers like me 🙂
I don't know how you do it, but every week gets better and better!
I really love that photo of Poet.
And thank you for including the settings…it is interesting and helpful!
Such beautiful photos x x
Beautiful portraits Jodi… We have 2 ft of snow here in Quebec (Canada). Seeing your kiddos in their summer clothes makes me long for my sundresses a bit. Have a wonderful week.
So glad to be part of this project again!! I have so much to learn by all of you and I can't wait to print all my daughters' pictures in another photo album!!
I love the way you capture moments of life!
Wonderful Pictures
Beautiful pictures, I love how you share your camera settings – thank you, because its really helping me learn! Thanks for hosting too xx
How quickly your two are growing, your photos are lovely as always.
We had the rare treat of SUN on Sunday (the end of our week in Germany) It was such a welcomed treat that i tossed (not literally) the other photos i had taken earlier in the week and brought the children to the play ground. Everyone was so happy for sun in the dark gloomy german winter and that genuine happiness made for a couple of my favourite photos of my children.
After a years hiatus from the weekly portraits I'm so happy remembering what a wonderful way it was for mixing up our routine and getting us in a habit of always having a camera in tow, its a lovely habit to have, thank you so much for starting this lovely project.
barefoot in the garden, beautiful. I wasn't going to, but I'm joining in again this year. Thanks again for hosting Jodi x
I love the photo of Poet in the garden, is so warm and enchanted.
