“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
Che: Evening walks to talk about his day….and everything this year will bring.
Poet: Ringlets, beads and floral – sweet little girl.

It seems that so many of you would like a link option to create a sense of community with this project. However, others have mentioned the fact that it may get a little ‘busy’ – not my preferred aesthetic. I’ll see how this week goes and if I feel that the link doesn’t work for me I’ll start a page on my sidebar with a list of links. It’s been so inspiring to hear your plans for 52 in 2013…some bloggers will be photographing their children (one muma is photographing six gorgeous kids!), others are focussing on nature and a few girls have chosen to take photos of their partners. I can’t wait to see a plethora of portraits. Let the link love begin…..

Update: Oh my goodness! I am in awe of the response to 52 and absolutely delighted to see so many beautiful faces captured. I estimated that about 40 people would be joining in, not the 188 of you that have! So, in order to keep the link up (it makes it so easy to visit other blogs) and to maintain the ‘minimal’ aesthetic of Che & Fidel, I’ve just added a ‘read more’ option at the end of the post. Till 2/52…

52 in 2012

I like this diversity! I will take pictures of my teen boys once a week this year(maybe I can capture the growth spurt)–but I can't post them, out of their concerns for privacy. However I love the idea of choosing a corner of our little farmette, or my sweetie, to watch the changes over time and share.

      Reply

I completely understand your concern over their privacy. I won't be posting much about Che when he starts school next month; his world is becoming bigger and I just don't feel comfortable discussing his little life here. I may post his portrait once a week, I may not. I'll see how I feel. x

Privacy is a big issue for me too, Mama Minou (which is a pity because this bias Mummy thinks her wee ones are just gorgeous!) so I would love to join in but their faces would not be on view. Pondering out loud and also checking with Jodi maybe other milestones, points of interest throughout the year could be okay?

Serendips….some of my very favourite portraits from 2012 didn't show Che or Poet's face. There were quite a few shots taken from behind, two of Poet's hair, one of Che's feet, a few of them hiding under their hats. I think a year of 'unportraits' would make for a fabulous collection x

Ah little girls and their 'girly' things!
Abigail is loving beads, shoes and dresses at the moment! The only way I can get her to stay still while I dress her is if I show her its a dress we are putting on!
Che is such an 'old soul' such a delightful little boy!

I'm going to play along with 52 but keeping it to myself for now. I'm not blogging at the moment no time! And what time I do have is spent with my little family x

Forgive me for being ignorant, but the amber necklace that Poet is wearing, what's it for?

    • Jodi
      Reply

Hi Katherine, amber is known to soothe pain and many babies wear them to help with teething. There's a lot of info for and against but I'm sure that every mum would agree with me in saying that when it comes to teething, you do whatever works. Poet hasn't been too bothered by the whole process, perhaps it's because of the necklace, perhaps not. x

I am Mariam used every single spell worker on the internet, spent untold amounts of money and discovered they are all fakes…i was the fool though; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. In the end, I decided that I wanted a tarot reading to know what my future held for me; I contacted a woman who lives locally to me and she told me about a man named (Priests Abija); he does not advertise on the internet, has another job for income, has no set prices, makes no false promises and refuses to help anyone that cannot be helped and even helps for free sometimes, he will give you proof before taking money. He is a wonderful man and he was the only person who actually gave me real results. I really hope he doesn't mind me advertising his contact on the internet but I'm sure any help/ extra work will benefit him.contact him here as +447053820826 or spirituallighthealing101@live.com He travel sometimes.i cant give out his number cos he told me he don’t want to be disturbed by many people across the world..he said his email is okay and he’ will replied to any emails asap, love marriage, finance, job promotion ,lottery Voodoo, poker voodoo, golf Voodoo,Law & Court case Spells, money voodoo, weigh loss voodoo, any sicknesses voodoo,Trouble in marriage,HIV AIDS,it's all he does Hope this helps everyone that is in a desperate situation as I once was; I know how it feels to hold onto something and never have a chance to move on because of the false promises and then to feel trapped in wanting something more.
