“A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014.”

Poet: She’s gazing at her brother which makes her smile even more precious.

I’ve had a big few days in regards to knowing my limits and honouring my priorities. So many profound lessons for me and as a result I’m feeling much lighter and calmer. So today, as I write this post a little late than usual I’m going to keep it short (no favourites today, I’m afraid) and leave you instead with a few words that may resonate:
“It’s good to leave each day behind, like flowing water, free of sadness. Yesterday is gone and its tale told. Today new seeds are growing.”
Rumi

I'm glad to hear you are finding the light and calm at the end of the day. It looks like Miss Poet might project a bit of that herself. x

that's such good advice, and what a wonderful quote with which to illustrate it. I'm feeling similarly stretched with the addition of a new baby and visiting family, but I'm really taking comfort in reminding myself that this is simply the season in which I find myself, and it won't last forever.
