“A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014.”
Poet: She’s gazing at her brother which makes her smile even more precious.
I’ve had a big few days in regards to knowing my limits and honouring my priorities. So many profound lessons for me and as a result I’m feeling much lighter and calmer. So today, as I write this post a little late than usual I’m going to keep it short (no favourites today, I’m afraid) and leave you instead with a few words that may resonate:
“It’s good to leave each day behind, like flowing water, free of sadness. Yesterday is gone and its tale told. Today new seeds are growing.”
– Rumi

Capturing these little moments is precisely why this project is so special. So beautiful. May your week unfold with much calm and light xx
I'm glad to hear you are finding the light and calm at the end of the day. It looks like Miss Poet might project a bit of that herself. x
beautiful. sweet smile.
I love this project because it not only records the photo, but also the moments surrounding the photo.
Well doesn't she love her big brother so dearly…lovely capture. x
Beautiful photo this week Jodi. Such a secretive, lovely smile between siblings.
Nothing beats the love and connection between siblings! My girls smile at each other like that and I melt every time x
She totally looks like she has a secret! So sweet that she's smiling at Che. Kellie xx
What a cherub! x
So gorgeous! And love that quote x
What a beautiful little grin! Love it
that's such good advice, and what a wonderful quote with which to illustrate it. I'm feeling similarly stretched with the addition of a new baby and visiting family, but I'm really taking comfort in reminding myself that this is simply the season in which I find myself, and it won't last forever.
It's such a relief to realise your limits, I think. Be kind to yourself x
Perfection. x
I can't believe how grown-up Poet looks in this picture!
Glad you are listening to what is right for yourself. Poet is a treasure.
I love that this moment is captured forever. Poet is such a sweet little girl.
no one likes a stressed out momma! take it easy xx
I love that even though he's not in the portraits any longer, Che's presence is still evident!
