garden scenes
Once they had lit the barbecue they wandered around the vegie patch and picked greens for dinner; rocket, baby spinach, cos lettuce, spicy chives. A night at mama and popa’s was just what we needed – complete with a nourishing meal, freshly made beds and many cups of tea.Happy weekend…

How lovely is it to see all the rocket and winter veggies in flower?
love seeing them in flower….like wild flowers, almost x
Oh that sounds so perfect! Ayana (my daughter) went through a phase of not eating vegetables and I was a bit concerned until I realised she was eating everything from snow peas to coriander in the garden everyday. In today's day and age it's a bit of a privilege for kids to be able to eat straight from the source!
An incredible privilege and one I don't take for granted x
Love these photos in the veggie patch and hope her little head is on the way to recovery. Always scary for the Mummy & Daddy in these situations. Have a good one and rest up that new baby too. Regards Kathy A, Brisbane
There's going to be a nasty scar and we'll have to be extra vigilant with sunscreen etc for the next few years but apart from that she's absolutely fine. I'll admit, it's taken me a good few days to relax and recover. Lots of rest planned for this weekend…hope you have a lovely one x
ps. you have asked me so many times about my 52 project book. Happy to tell you that I'm working on it….I'll have a post ready in the next few weeks x
The kids are indeed very lucky to have grandparents nearby.
Have you heard of "Scarless healer" from the health food shop ? it is amazing, I have been using it for years on sun damage excissions.Very gently rub in 2 or 3 times a day, one being before bed.
oh lovely and fresh…
sounds perfect
How lucky you are to have your parents nearby, my children never had that and it is something I would have loved. Beautiful pictures!
We are very lucky indeed (and we discussed our luck at length the other night while we sat in the hospital, knowing that Che was at home being looked after by my parents). We discussed moving earlier in the year but at the end of the day, having two sets of doting parents close by is just too much of a blessing to give up x
What precious photos Jodi. My parents live close to us and I love watching my girls follow their Gran and Pa around the farm I grew up on, theirs is a very special bond. We planted some more strawberries, sugar peas, and lettuces this afternoon. We still have the risk of frosts here in central Vic but I can't wait to go crazy with the planting in a few weeks x
these images are so sweet! made me miss my dad that lives on the other side of the atlantic ocean 🙂
happy weekend to you too!
She looks so boho in her little outfit! On her way to Olsen status.

I noticed in a comment above you said Poet's accident will leave a scar…rose hip oil may work but only once its completely healed and no more scabs. We've had great success with it.
