31 weeks

31 weeks pregnant | photos by my truly beautiful friend, Claire
This big, bountiful belly of mine is growing rounder and heavier by the day. I so distinctly remember the same feeling in Che and Poet’s pregnancies and I resisted it entirely. But this time, I’m relishing in the slowing down and the late pregnancy voluptuousness. I admit, I love being pregnant. Despite the heat and reflux and restless legs, growing babies grounds me. It’s also a profound reminder of what matters most in life; it’s not an experience I will ever take for granted.

Beautiful post. Lovely sentiment to not take the gift of pregnancy for granted. So many women have such difficulty in conceiving.

Oh my gosh, you are gorgeous! It's amazing how quickly the whole thing happens, even though some moments felt like an eternity for me. I was just looking back over the first pictures of our youngest babe, the changes a few weeks can bring are hard to fathom.

There is nothing like being pregnant to connect you to what is essential, while also serving as a poignant reminder of just how swiftly time passes. You look radiant. xx

I know I denied being "beautiful" when I was pregnant and I only did it once…what a regret to not take photos each month or even ever'!!! I have 2 photos of me pregnant, one at 37 weeks and one the next week in labour…you look fabulous….and you can see where Poet gets her look from 😀
    Warm regards,

I love the sense of gratitude I feel in your words — it breaks my heart when I hear pregnant women complain. It's such a beautiful experience, even with the hard parts, and one to be thoroughly relished.
